What is Crema?
Sour cream, crème fraîche, and crema are just a few of the many varieties of a basic cream. Crema, in particular, is a creamy and tangy cream that is a staple of Mexican cuisine. It’s usually drizzled over tacos, enchiladas, chicken, or anything else you want to add a touch of richness too.
Traditional Mexican crema is most closely related to sour cream and I was so happy to find my favorite Forager Organic Dairy Free Sour Cream! But you can easily substitute crème fraîche or even greek yogurt based on your preference.

Time needed: 5 minutes.
- In a bowl Add in Sour Cream, Garlic, Lime juice, Salt & combine well.
- Add in chives, stir and serve cool!
Notes: Feel free to adjust the tanginess in this recipe to your liking by adding more lime juice or lime zest.

How To Make Lime Crema
- In a bowl combine together the Sour Cream, Garlic, Lime & Salt.
