Turning leftover bread into crispy delicious garlic crostinis. They make delicious bite-size appetizers. Also the perfect topping on any soup or salad!

Leftover baguette? Not a problem! Why don’t we turn these leftover baguettes into delicious garlic crostini? Perfect as a snack on its own. But, even more yummy with fun toppings as an appetizer for a dinner party. They also make a great addition to your soups and salad. All you will need is a baguette, olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic!

What I like most about crostini is that it is quick and easy to make. They can be just toasted with light olive oil and top off with different ingredients we may have lying around in our refrigerator. A perfect way to also use leftover ingredients without creating waste! Yes!

What To Do With Crostini

These crostini pair perfectly with our butternut & acorn squash soup. To enjoy them as a snack try dipping them in our Tahini Garlic Nut Spread or Tzatziki Sauce.




How To Make Garlic Crostini

Tools used: Counter Oven, Medium Mixing Bowl, Measuring Cups & Spoons, Knife, Chopping Board, Garlic Press, Sheet Pan, Parchment Paper, Pastry Brush


Servings: 24 Pieces | Course: Bread | Cuisine: Italian


Ingredients:

  • 1 Baguette
  • 4 Cloves Garlic (minced or pressed)
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil (or Avocado Oil)

Prep: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 12-15 minutes

Time needed: 20 minutes.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Set it aside.

  2. In a bowl mix together the garlic and oil.

  3. Take your baguette and slice in half diagonally. Place each slice on a baking sheet with parchment paper facing flat. Then brush the garlic oil on the top of the sliced baguettes.

  4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool. Now it’s ready to be served!
