Plant-based meats are a hit in our house this summer and we’re sharing our favorite recipes. Beyond Burgers are made free from GMOs, gluten, and soy and have a great protein count due to the pea protein!
This is an easy and simple recipe for someone who is Vegetarian, looking to find options with less “meat” or if you use an egg replacement fully plant-based. Once you try these burgers you’ll be sure to come back for more. Let’s get grilling!
- Gluten-Free Burger Bun
- Butter Lettuce
- Heirloom Tomatoes

What is Beyond Meats?
Beyond meat is on a mission to help the future of protein and it’s all made from plants! According to their website “By shifting from animal to plant-based meat, we can positively impact four growing global issues: human health, climate change, constraints on natural resources, and animal welfare.” Beyond meats come in many different options such as burgers, meatballs, ground beef, sausages and so much more. Having this option has really helped with a plant-based diet especially during months we enjoy a burger or a sausage. The taste is delicious, the texture is spot on and it’s available in almost all major grocery stores!
Beyond Burger Step-by-Step
Step 1: Add Ground Beef into a bowl.
Step 2: Add in gluten-free Panko, eggs, nutmeg, coconut milk, black pepper & salt.
Step 3: Dice 1 sweet onion and caramelize till golden brown. (5-6 minutes).
Step 4: Add Caramelized onions to the beef mixture and mix well.
Step 5: Form into Patties and enjoy!

How To Make a Beyond Burger
Servings: 8 | Course: Main Dish | Cuisine: American
- 2 Packs Ground Beyond Meat
- 1 Sweet Onion, diced
- ½ Cups Gluten-Free Panko
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp Nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil for cooking
Prep: 15 Minutes | Cook: 15 Minutes
Time needed: 30 minutes.
- Defrost Ground Beyond Meat. Dice sweet onions and saute till golden brown. Add meat to a bowl along with all the above ingredients. Mix well and form into patties. Grill for 6 minutes on one side and then 4 on the other. If searing on a pan using medium heat sear on the first side for 8 minutes then 5 on the other side.
- For both of these methods please monitor the burger and cook until your preference is reached!
